Information

The photographer

Laura has always been an animal lover, having a string of unusual pets as a child. These ranged from geckoes and rats to a sheep! A photography degree gave her skills and confidence in the field, although she ended up photographing stuffed animals in museum basements for 2 years… Yearning for something with a bit more life, she started photographing real live animals. Wanting to avoid the look of high street photographers, Laura often chooses to isolate the animals on plain backgrounds. Her aim is for the animals spirit and character to shine through.

Laura currently has one beautiful but naughty dog called Mr.T, a collection of chickens and a hive of bees. She is always keen to capture unusual beasts, as well as dogs and cats, and is currently on the look-out for a goat and any rare breed chickens – reduced rates apply for these animals!

Awards

Laura’s unique style has won her several awards for her dog photography from the Kennel Club. This includes Dog Photographer of the Year finalist twice and winner of Dog Portrait Photographer of the Year.

“Laura really managed to capture Scully’s friendly and playful nature in the photos she took of her. They’re a really precious reminder of what an amazing little character and a great mate Scully was to me.”
